You save me
With the look in your eyes
The knowing warmth
The quaint suprise.

As if you couldn't see
My deepest secret
My darkest truth
My one regret.

But now your vision is clear
And all has been revealed
The love that never ended
Romantic letters left unsealed.

And I'm drowning
In twin pools of blue
Falling ever faster
Getting lost in you.

If only you had seen before
When we still had a chance
Now destined to remain "just friends"
No shred left of romance.

You were my one that got away
And if there are other fish in the sea
I don't want to go fishing.
Because you're the one for me.
