This night called lust
You call me with words of love,
And keep me with tender kisses,
Have you seen him whom I dream of,
I long for him with dark wishes.
Is he hidden beneath my bed,
Or only in dreams does he abide?
Does he watch me as I rest my head,
And guard my body as my spirit flies?
For it is him whom I desire to see,
After so long a lifetime,
To embrace him once again,
Wanting him is my crime.
Next to you I have no fear,
And from me goodness flows,
As long as you are here,
All my passion I will show.
The night is ending fast,
Our parting shall be rushed,
Our sighs muffled heavy, not rasp,
And to name this night I'll call it Lust.
