The Forest Keeps
Ancient myths,
Of past and lore,
Buried beneath,
A dusty floor.
Raided tombs,
Of long dead kings,
Ruined castle,
From wars' dreadful flings.
Nobel thief,
Of the wood,
Making all,
As it should.
Docile wings,
Of forest bright,
Dancing beneath,
silver moonlight.
Magic Cradle,
Of the moon,
Deep, dark secrets,
Make you swoon.
Blood as wine,
Life of Death,
Time is lost,
No more breath.
Howling children of the Night,
Running in a grassy grove,
Secrets that are not to share,
Hidden in a dark, damp cove.
Seeks for the truth,
The one and only,
In the forest they hide,
That's what it told me.
