dusk”

hide me, hold me, protect me with your
cloak crossed between the oldest day and youngest night
so keep me safe in your embrace –
vibrant vermillion or violet velvet?

don't let me see incorrigible corruption
the voracious vicious vendetta

don’t leave me now!
i look to the east
the eager erroneous evil
pushing, pushing, pushing you
up, up and up

but you will descend again

and hide me, hold me, protect me
with your deviant, deceptive disguise
lie to me to keep me sane
keep me safe in your
sweet, seductive sanctity

the dark side of twilight.
