The End of the Earth

The last one in the world

Grey smoke tinged with white clouds our dying scene

Venomous seeps through my skin

You’re singing the soundtrack to humanity’s failures

Peaceful broken

Fangs and sleek skin we’ve come to love

What have we done?

Punched holes in it all

And now it’s all tumbling down to meet us

And we can’t do a single damn thing about it

Angels not only fallen but about to break now

Is it over now?

Or am I still dreaming in death?

Is it fire this time, water or wind?

Or machinery, or maybe the Lord himself?

We don’t know because we’re gone

But the remains and ash remember

How we destroyed our world from the inside out

Without even knowing it

And now we cannot start again.
