There is a thousand different noises

Severe, foreign voices

At their uttermost gutteral intensity

Are excessive

Business suit expressways

5-minute waits

"Olden days are outdatted cacophonies"

that no one wants to hear when you have that

Smooth jazz that massages the ears

With convienent, society-favoring

Serviceable, well-fitted blues

There is a thousand different noises

All of them forgotten

Foreign places

Where life's true lovers treasure and stop-in

With their

Sun-up - Sundown all day naps cats envy

Where every sound from the meadowlark to dark beneath the oak tree

Where crickets sing and tell us

All those fairytale things

Such unimaginable, absurd, nonsensical

That quietness can be found in the

loudest of places
