In the dark of the night, some may find their escape.

But most will tell you that you should be afraid.

Most they are worried of the debts to be paid,

To the reaper, the killer, and the men who do rape.

It’s all because the sun, that which sits in the sky

Is missing and unable to guide or way home.

We do not want to be early sent to our tomb,

And at the smallest sound, at night we all will fly.

But to those who may fear, the black darkness of night

I urge you to realize, that you’re never alone.

The sun casts it’s night rays in a slightly off tone,

The moon’s there to guide us, you don’t need to take flight.

Some they are scared, but I never do fear,

For I say to myself that the moon it is here.

I look up to it and I can see the sun,

A reflected fire surface off the moon’s dusty one.

So whenever a noise scares me in the dark,

I may glance all around and I let out my bark.

“If you are a psycho here to finish my life,

Then I would suggest that you drop that old knife,

For the moon it is here, to take place of the sun,

And if you aren’t scared of that light, then I’ll fire my gun!”
