Remember Me

Late at night I lay alone

I hear the silence and let it drone

Dreaming of what I know is gone

Into the light I long to go

Out of my heart and into my soul

Pouring alcohol over my skin

Scrap the razor again and again

Its soothing sting is cherished like gold

The crimson stream of dripping blood

Out of the warm and into the cold

Respected like love, but not as gold

Feeling nothing but numb and bold

No guilt, no tears, no crown of thorns

No lies, no secrets, no concealing veil

Relief lies upon me now

Remember Me

For who I am

Not what I was meant to be
