Inevitable

Survival of the fittest,
Ruling with an iron fist,
Unwritten codes of law,
Too true to have a flaw.

So easily restored,
Memories are ignored,
A queue of trillions more,
Waiting just outside the door.

I don’t think you realize that,
That is all that I expect.
And if I were the stronger of us two,
That’s exactly what I’d do.
