I sit beside this door with my head bent down
wishing I would see your familiar face
but all that meet my eyes
are tears from the dustless floor

I lean on this wall without a single clue
breaking on the edge of sanity
I grip hard for the verge
that borders my cold, petulant wish

I cry these endless woes
I wish there shattered dreams
and I live a life of deaths

I fall hard on this floor beside your door
and maybe you’ll see me regret my foolishness
