a terrible beauty and a blood painted sky
thirsty for symmetry, hungery for pride
gathering reason to end this charade
lost in the passions that whisk us away

simple and hasty, the words on our lips,
but neither the two will ever exist

as paperthin hearts come crashing down,
landing so lightly without a sound
through a guillotine romance and nevermore,
they ended up on the cutting room floor

a paraffin smile and a rust covered sneer
lonely for habit, longing for fear
discovering fate to keep this alive
bound in the grief we dare to survive

heavy and bitter, the breath in our lungs,
but never again will the two be sung

as paperthin hearts come crashing down,
landing so lightly upon the ground
through a guillotine romance and nevermore,
they ended up on the cutting room floor

a beautiful nightmare and a razorblade love
begging for silence, dancing for blodd
swallowing daggers to bring this defeat
kept in the darkness that forbids us to breathe

fatal and piercing, the hate in our hearts,
but neither the two will ever embark

as paperthin hearts come crashing down,
landing so lightly without a sound
through a guillotine romance and nevermore,
they ended up on the cutting room floor

the calvary came to break the ghost,
from the guillotine you loved the most
