Title: Gentle Melody

Author: vashsunglasses

Rating: G/K

Section: Bible/Religion/Poetry

Summary: About a friend.

By the side of the path

Lay the graves of youth

The innocence of the past

Entombed by neglect

But sprinkled with green

:o:

Those tiny seedlings

Grown from gentle hands

Love from the one who cared

Of oak and from oak

From these a cross is hewn

:o:

It waits for her there

And she, clothed in wool

Kisses the oaken cross

Washes it with her tears

And dries it with her veil
