we all cried when death

closed her eyes for the last time

we knew we would never see her again

it's hard to decide

as the people gather

to walk along her

crossing themselves at her side

leaning in to whisper goodbyes

she’s gone now forever

and all these lost souls

looking to me for support

soul flying away, she looked down upon us
