I would like to dedicate this poem to all those wo suffered losses due to 9/ll and the war that followed it.

On That Day

It started like any other day,
But in the end, it was the other way.
People tried to pry away,
At the remains of a building gray.
For underneath that rock and ruble,
Were people dead, or in trouble.
Where a building once stood tall and proud,
Now there stood a mourning crowd.
On every channel and every station,
People were crying throughout the nation.
Gone with the wind were the twin towers,
Here to stay were our people’s powers.
For we Americans will always remember,
What happened on that day…
The 11th of September.

A/n: if you've read any of my other poems, specifically my most recent ones, you might notice that this one isn't as well written as my others. I actually wrote it three years ago, but this poem was on a different computer that doesn't have internet access, and I wasn't able to get it on to my regular computer until last December. I decided that it would be wierd to post this then, so I waited for 9/ll to roll around again to post it. I hope you all liked it.
