Inu sniffed the air
'Today's gonna be different' He thought.
Inu looked at the fountain '..so this is gonna be my last day on Blizarra eh?'
Taiyo looked over at Inu, "Are you going somewhere?" She asked, catching the look on his face.
Sakura looked at Inu "Something troubling you?" she asked
Inu shook his head, making his floppy ears shake around.
'You were a good owner, I didn't mean anything I said before..you will turn out good'
"What are you talking about Inu?" Sakura asked, panic rising. "Is something going to happen?"
Inu looked at Taiyo ignoring Sakura's questions 'Many places, different places...' he said.
Taiyo nodded, understanding, yet confused. "I'm guessing we're not going to be coming with you there, eh?"
Adder smirked. He had accindentally dozed off, and his prey seemed alive. He stood up, stode over to Kaerin, and kicked him onto his back. He made sure to hit one of the gashes he had made with his foot.
"Oww," Kaerin gasped, wheezing slighly. He had thought he was dead, hell, he had hoped he was dead and that this would be over. "Jus'... Just leave me alone," He muttered, trying to ignore Adder and the renewed sense of pain.
'No, nobody is comming with me, but I might see you again' he said, still staring at the fountain.
Adder shook his head, "Tut tut tut, is that how you talk to the one who hold your life in their hands?" He pulled out a new knife and smirked, crimson hair framing his face.
And Inu took off in a brisk sprint towards the fountain jumped up to the top, and turned into a complete stone statue, one paw raised, and a completed look on his dog-face.
"Oh, well... goodbye? For now at least, right?" Taiyo asked, though she knew it to be more of a fact.
His last words, however, were 'Goodbye Taiyo, Goodbye Sakura, Goodbye everyone in Blizara...' A wisper was sent through the air that a normal person would of thought was the wind, but what it was really was Inu saying 'Ivalice is where we shall meet again'
Kaerin glared. "I higly doubt you're gonna be nice, now..." He choked out, still defiant, despite wishing it was all over long ago.
"Wha..Goodbye Inu.."
Sakura didn't say anything after that just stood there dumbfounded, and staring at the statue that used to be the dog she loved so much.
Adder leaned down to Kaerin, his face inches away from Kaerin's, "You got it..." With a movement as quick as a serpent striking, he drove the knife through Kaerin's arm, and through the bone as well.
Emiko rolled back her sleeve, feeling glum.
If Colmin couldn't read it she wondered who could...
Shinji jumped down from the tree (In Squirrel form), and transformed. He was curious about the half-demon. She didn't talk much...and seemed very mysterious.
Minyo hummed quietly as she approached Emiko and Shinji.
"What up?" she asked playfully. She had heard that phrase once before.
Kaerin screamed, hoarse but shrill as the knife dove through his arm, tearing nerve endings among other things, and through his bone as well. He doubted he'd be surprised if it was protruding through the other side. "Wh-What'd I do... to deserve this?" He asked, his voice full of pain as the tears he tried desperatley to stop slid down his face.
Momoiro turned, and Piruru followed. Momoiro called over her shoulder, "Master Seraphim, we need to go now. We're already late."
Kunet scowled at her, but his face lit up, "Hey... I have an idea!" He turned to look at Piruru, "Go tell everyone to come to the Lake, that's where we're opening the portal, right? Go and tell them!"
Piruru nodded, and ran off yelling, "COME TO THE LAKE!!!! COME TO THE LAKE AND GO TO THUNDARA!!!" at the top of her voice.
Takara looked up "what? Portal?" she asked
Mike shrugged and went back to sleep.
"I just want to...go home" Sakura said not taking her eyes off the fountain.
Takara nodded understanding "I suppose it is time for all of us to go home" And with a flash of yellow light, Sakura, Takara, and Mike were all back on earth, home.
Hearing Piruru's call, Hoshi echoed it. "Hey, everyone... GO DOWN TO LAKE CL AS FAST AS YOU CAN!! SOMETHIN'S HAPPENING THERE!!" She yelled, and ran down to the lake, Taiyo not far behind her.
Ari walked, not really sure if the offer was to him, nor did he really care. If he got there, he got there. If not, he just didn't get there.
"What the..?! Shinji shouted. He had heard the person's call.'Go to the lake...lake..' he thought.
Emiko had already gotten up, and was walking slowly, as if in a trance. She suspected the lake was in there.
"Ooh,gonna' swim?!" Minyo said happily. She pranced after Emiko.
Shinji sighed. "Fine..But I don't like this.." He started following them.
Yuki heard the call from the infirmary, "The lake...? Kane! C'mon!" she hopped from the window, wings spreading to help her land. She took off running, passing Minyo, "Min-Min! C'mon, that's where Kunet's goin' to Thundara!"
Kane began to follow, but stopped. He'd take Shuichi with him, if he wasn't dead already. He dashed down to the dungeon and flung the door open, disappointment filling him instantly, "So you're still alive, eh?"
Shuichi glared, but remained silent. Kane noticed that the hikari magic had faltered, and he could now undo the lock. He did, but he wrapped chains through the shackles he had placed on Shuichi, "C'mon, we're going." Tatero was waiting for him at the top of the stairs leading in, grinning from ear to ear.
Momoiro and Kunet were standing at the lake edge, Momoiro chanting a strange chant. Without warning she plucked a feather from one of Kunet's new wings, "Owwwwww!!! Whatcha do that for?!" But she didn't answer; she merely just flicked the feather into the water. A bright flash flickered under the surface of the lake, and Momoiro looked around for others.
"Lookie Yukiru!" Minyo squealed. She pointed to the sky, and Mokona was flying silently in the sky, following them.
(Yes, he's coming. I've got plans for him)
"Lucky..." Shinji muttered as he also saw Mokona.
"Minyo wonder, May riding him...?" Minyo asked herself.
Emiko had no idea where she was going. Something was pulling her on, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it...
The trio (Shinji, Emiko, Mokona...) arrived at the edge of the lake. Mokona landed softly, and morphed into Human from.
"Does anyone know where we're going?" He asked.
Hoshi looked at Momoiro, "So, how're we to get there?" She asked, panting slightly. Taiyo stood behind her, a goofy smile on her face as she watched Ari walk into view.
"Somewhere... new?" Taiyo guessed, watching everyone now.
Yuki nodded, still running, "C'mon!"
Piruru was still yelling "COME TO THE LAKE!!!" to make sure people heard her. Ariadne smiled, "I'm not going...I can't go." she sighed contentedly, and said as almost if she knew the future, "Someone will return."
Kane, Tatero, and Shuichi trudged along to the lake, Shuichi, looking rather pale and emaciated, accompanied them in silence, bound in shackles. Touma watched curiously from the roof, wondering rather to follow, or stay behind. He soon chose to follow, skating on he air.
"Thundara..." Emiko whispered, lost in thought. Her eyes widened. "How did I know that...?" She asked herself.
Momoiro pointed at a glowing spot in the lake, "Through that. We'll come up in the fountain in the main square in the District of Ivalice."
Kunet gawked at her, "Wh-what...? I-I dunno if I can..."
"You can, Kunet!" said Yuki, breathlessly, as she had just arrived.
"So we just swim into the glowing part and we'll go there?" Hoshi asked. "Sounds easy."
Florette, still slightly hysterical from losing sight of Kaerin, heard Piruru's yelling, "The lake...He might;ve gone to the lake!" She said. She took off running, "Veryn! C'mon! He's your responsibility!"
Minyo gaped at the portal.
"Pretty..." she whispered in awe.
"Yeah..." Shinji agreed.
Emiko stared at the portal. Her hands slowly reached out to touch it, but she drew back.
Momoiro nodded, "'tis quite easy. Master Seraphim will go first."
Kunet stared at her wide-eyed, "B-But...Not everyone's here yet!!"
"Really? I thought we were all here." stated Kane. Tatero was still smiling, and Shuichi was still silent. Touma skated around them all on the air, humming quietly to himself.
"I'm comin'!" Veryn yelled, running after Florette. He doubted that Kaerin had gone to the lake, but, he hadn't been doing anything worthwhile at the moment. And, Flor was right-Kaerin was his responsibility.
Piruru returned, talking in a hoarse voice, "I think everyone heard me...Lets go!"
Touma didn't want to wait. The prospect of a new place was just to exciting. He dove in, tapping into his water element so he could move faster.
"All Jump!" Minyo exclaimed.
"Right?"
Shinji glanced at her. "Um..Heheh..I don't know..." He stuttered, then looked away.
"I...can't swim."
Mokona sighed. "I wish you good luck."
"Thanks...I guess," Shinji said flatly.
Taiyo followed after Touma, jumping in barely a second later. Hoshi waited a minute for her to be out of the way and dove under-hoping that this place might have towels. Ari was a bit more hesitant, but also dove under within the span of a couple minutes, all three heading towards the lighted portal.
Yuki stuttered, "H-Hey wait for me!" and dove in, using her her wings to propel her. Kunet followed after saying a quick prayer, but jumped right back out, "Nooooo!!!" Tatero scowled, grabbing Kunet by the collar, he jumped into the water with him and drug him with him down to the portal.
Seeing Touma jump in, Minyo suddenly got very excited.
"Go! Go!" She squealed, and pushed Shinji in.
"Why y--"
Shinji had began to say, but the water drowned out his voice. He slowly fell, air bubbles emitting from his mouth.
Minyo did a cannonball into the portal, smiling.
Emiko hopped in, a little unsure. Mokona did the same as she, but with more confidence.
Piruru backed up, and did a running dive into the water, heading straight for the portal.
Florette nearly ran out of the forest, but stopped when she heard Kane order Shuichi into the water, "Kuso...If I go out there, I'll be killed..." she turned to Ver, "They really don't know who you are, but he knows me. You go first, and I'll follow you later."
"Fine," Ver groaned, having noticed that they all seemed to be heading somewhere... and more than likely it was some type of portal under the water. He didn't worry much about his phone getting wet, that was waterproofed, but he wasn't particulary fond of water, especially cold water. With a sigh, he calmly walked towards the lake, not really saying anything.
Kane practically drug Shuichi through the portal, but Shuichi didn't say anything. Nor did he complain. He had kinda stopped caring. Momoiro dove in, she would keep the portal open for any others for a while.
Emiko felt like she was falling in slow motion. She didn't bother to breathe. She didn't care. Slowly closing her eyes, she drifted off to sleep...
Shinji groaned. He slowly opened his eyes, and coughed up water. He felt the ground.
Ground. He got up and looked around him.
They weren't underwater anymore. Vines were everywhere, and a fountain with green water lay before him. He stared at the statue of the dog on top of it. 'I've seen that dog somewhere before...' Shinji thought, pondering. 'Inu, was it?'
Mokona was already up and walking around.
He poked one of the vines, and it hissed at him, drawing back.
"Amazing..." He whispered.
Hoshi stood up, staring around the world. "Well...," She began, but never finished.
"Oooh! Pretty!!" Taiyo said, her attention immediatley drawn to the shrine on the mountain.
Ari simply watched the others, not really taking any of this world in. He'd never known that any place like this could have existed.
The girl had blond hair and dark green eyes. She had a moss-colored sword and wasn't holding it agressevly but in defence.
She looked at the group of people for a minute regestering weither they were a bad group or good until she finally said "Welcome"
Behind her was a great stone shrine that was covered in Ivy, to her left was a garden with various plants.
Towering up behind the shrine like a giant birthday hat was a mountain.
Canis sniffed the air "I smell visitors" he said to his dog-sister Lupis.
Canis dashed outta the bushes and met Liona, who was standing holding her sword in front of a group of people.
Lupis sighed and ran after her brother "Come back!" She shouted.
Kane was sitting on the edge of the fountain, Yuki next to him. Momoiro had already ushered Kunet away into a bigger part of the district. He was smiling and looking around nostalgically, "Wow...It's only been 6 years...Look how much it's changed!" Indeed, the town they had entered was rather large, but still humble. Small homes were scattered about, and shops were failry abundant. Larger homes were more prominent, and the children playing outside had stopped to watch them curiously.
"Peoples!" Minyo squealed.
Shinji smelled the air, his mouth drooling.
"Food..."
Emiko slowly got up, and looked around at everything. When she saw the people, her eyes widened in fear. Pictures were going on in her mind. Pictures of people hitting her, and pointing at her ears and tail. She fell to the ground, shaking.
A small child with tan skin walked up to Emiko, exmining her carefully. She grinned and hugged her, "Welcome to Thundawa!" she said in an excited voice. Piruru walked out of a store, a bag of sweet smelling bread in her hands, "Anyone want some?" Her voice was muffled because she already had some in her mouth.
"I do! I do!" Taiyo shouted, she could smell it from here and it was making her mouth water. She could barely remember the last time they had eaten in Blizarra.
"I'd like some, please," Hoshi said, a little more calmly.
Ari remained silent, he wasn't exactly hungry.
Emiko was quite taken aback by the girl's hug. She nodded. She tried to say something, but nothing came out.
Minyo waved at the girl.
"Hi Hi!"
"Thanks!" Shinji said gratefully. He took a loaf, and dug into it. Minyo did the same.
"I'm fine. I've already eaten," Mokona said.
Emiko stared at the bread. She wasn't hungry for some reason.
"Help yourselves!" she set the bag next to Kane, "So, you've been here before? What's you're name anyways?"
Kane smiled, "Kane Aiza. I came here last when I was 15 years old, the last time the Aiza family visited their summer home with me." He still had a smile on his face. He was never bitter towards them, and he couldn't exactly go after he turned 16.
The girl's mother, whom she greatly resembled, came and scooped her daughter up. She smiled at them all. Yuki looked around and noticed that all the people were tan, "Kane, why are they so tan?"
"They get alot of sun, plus they spend alot of time outside." He answered.
Taiyo and Hoshi also both took a loaf of the bread.
"It's good... Do I want to know the name of it?" Taiyo asked, she'd thought some other foods she'd tried were good until she knew what they were.
Hoshi snickered and bit into her own loaf.
"I'm...Emiko," the half-demon stuttered.
She was getting a little used to her name.
After some consideration, she decided to eat some, and also dug into the bread.
"Shinji Kawa," Shinji said between a mouthfull of bread. He swallowed.
"We've come from Blizzara."
"I'm Taiyo!" Taiyo said through a mouthful of bread.
Hoshi swallowed then spoke. "My name's Hoshi, and that silent idiot over there," She gestured to Ari, "Is Ari.. or so he says."
Piruru answered, "Pineapple and cherry bread. One of the cheaper delicacies in Ivalice." she bit into her loaf again, "It's really sweet, and it sells for lots in other dimensions and districts."
Yuki had gotten herself a loaf, and felt as though she was in heaven. Touma, though, was busy drooling in front of a candy shop's window. Shuichi didn't touch the bread, though his stomach was tightening from hunger. Tatero was to busy admiring a pretty young girl who had a fairly decent tan just a few feet away from them.
"Minyo!" Minyo exclaimed happily, as she munched on the bread.
"I'm Mokona...Who might you be?" the dragon Demon asked.
"We know. We could tell by the color of the portal," the woman replied, "It was a faint blue."
Florette had snuck by unnoticed and was now perching up in a shady tree, watching them carefully, "No way I can kill him now...To many witnesses in this place."
"I'm Piruru. No last name. I'm a servant to the Master Seraphim."
"You guys are not my servants...Yeesh." Kunet had reappeared in the square, but he was dressed in white robes, and he looked fairly self-concious, "Do I look as girly as I feel?" he asked the others.
Shinji followed Tatero's gaze, and spotted the girl. He stared.
"You," Mokona said, referring to Tatero.
"Stop setting a bad example. He's already quite perverted."
Tatero glanced over at Mokona and smirked, "You're just jealous because you're to old to get a girl..."
Kane stared at Kunet for five seconds before he broke out into a fit of silent giggles, "D-dude...Is that what the Seraphim wears? That's gotta svck!!"
Mokona glared at him, then looked away.
Emiko smiled at soem children playing not far off. This place had a homy feeling to it.
"Urk!" Shinji stuttered. He glanced at Mokona, then sighed.
Tatero snickered and muttered to Shinji, "Watch the master..." He stood up and strolled over to the girl, and instantly began talking to her. She seemed to be flattered, but ended up slapping him across the face when he grabbed her butt. She stalked off and others could hear her mutter, "Fifth one this week!"
Kane fell into the fountain again from laughing so hard, and Kunet couldn't help himself when he began to giggle.
Shinji started laughing.
"Yeah, I learned alot!"
Emiko glared at Tatero slightly. Then she stopped and chuckled a little.
"Owowowowowow..." muttered Tatero as he sat down next to Shinji again, "Kuso...That really huuuuurt..."
Kane pulled himself out of the fountain, still laughing, "Tatero, you're an idiot."
Kunet nodded, but wanted to hide when he saw people stop and bow on their way around town.
"Well, you learned from your mistakes," Emiko said, laughing a little. She stopped.
That was the first time she had laughed with anyone. Or so she could remember.
Minyo shook her head.
"That no good Tatero. Never get girlfriend."
Yuki was watching the sky, watching the coulds roll by, "This place is so different..."
Tatero glared at Minyo but sighed when he realized she was right. Kunet smiled but his face turned to that of horror, "Hide me!!" he said quickly, looking for a place to hide.
"MASTER SERAPHIM!! WHERE ARE YOU?!" It was Momoiro, and she was storming down from the richer district looking as though she had just had her ears yanked. Piruru pointed to a shop that smelled strongly of catnip, "Thanks!"
"No prob. She never goes in there."
Emiko suddenly realized that she had been sitting down this whole time.
"Where are we going to stay?" she asked to no one in praticular.
Kane smiled, "The Aiza's Summer Home, of course. I think I still have a key. It's more like a mansion than a summer home, though."
Momoiro charged into their midst, "Where's Master Seraphim?!"
Kane shrugged, "Dunno. He disappeared."
Momoiro seemed as though she should have steam billowing from the cat ears perched on her head. She stalked off, passing right by the shop that reeked of catnip.
