The ground shook as the dragon moved its way toward us. It growled as I raised my gun defensively. I cocked it by accident and got shushed by the man to my right. The dragon heard it crystal clear and gave a loud roar in response.
"Where are we gonna go?" the guy said as he quickly checked his equipment. I looked at him with a 'You better run like there's no tomorrow' look on my face. The dragon's head flew up as something else caught his attention. I made a break for it, followed by Mark. I headed for the only opening in sight: underneath the belly of the beast. "What the hell are you doing?!" Mark yelled but was too late to stop me and just followed the example. The dragon looked around in confusion and screeched in anger.
"Take this you ugly-" I was drowned out by the loud firing of my gun as I shot the dragon's belly. It roared in pain and began to panick. I kept firing as the beasts legs began to move like crazy. I was stopped abruptly when the dragon's tail whipped me in the back. I gasped as I fell to the ground, my face hitting the cement hard. My gun flew across the ground and I heard it hit the ground with a thud.
"Christina!!" I heard Mark yell. He was going to run to my rescue but the dragon swung his head around, hitting Mark, killing him instantly with a great force. I tried getting up as the dragon's tail whipped around me, picking me up. I let out a scream as i flew into the air like on a rollercoaster going to fast. The dragon roared in my face, claiming victory, laughing in my face. His giant red teeth, greeting me with a smile.
"You'll never take me without a fight!" I yelled in his face. He gave what looked like a frown, squnited at me, snorted in retort. He growled and sniffed me like a little treat. My heart stopped beating as he opened his mouth, ready to swallow me without trouble. Out of a last resort, I leaned down as far as i could and bit the dragon's tail and boy, I couldn't wait to get some water. The dragon tasted like pure salt and dirt. He roared so loud from pain, I had to cover my ears. His tail disappeared from around me and I suddenly hit the ground, hitting my back, knocking the air out of me.
"Ow!....My god," I complained as I sat up. The dragon screeched and I saw a flash of red as he picked me up in his mouth. I soon figured out that the flash of red, was his bloody teeth, which I had seen earlier. I grabbed ahold of one of his teeth. The tooth was about two feet shorter than me, so i had to sit to be able to hold onto it. I held my breath as the dragon ran his tongue over me, trying to free me from his tooth. Talk about disgusting. I was literally taking a bath in dragon SPIT. Not pleasant. Don't even get me started. The Dragon let out a screech of frustation and opened his mouth. I took advantage of this and flung myself into mid air.
When he sensed I was gone he roared and spread his giant wings and flew off into the darkness of night. I hit the ground, once again, and rolled onto my stomach, trying to breathe. I gasped until who knows when, and finally got to my feet. I was dripping dragon slobber. I scowled and headed toward what looked like Mark, laying on the ground. I flipped him over and gasped at the mark the dragon had left on his face. I looked out into the darkness, wondering what to do. Would the dragon come back to find me?
NOTE: I may add to this chapter or write a second one. Depends on how you guys R&R on this one. Hope you like it, if not, let me know and i'll try to improve it.
