“Against I”

For once, I can open my eyes

Because as the starlight grows, it dies.

Wake up; I’ll pack up

I’m killing my will for you to command.

---

Stop braving, tell me where it hurts baby

If I’m desperate enough I can help you with a maybe.

My best was ignored, but I’ve had my anger stored

Now there’s enough to resurrect my innermost hatred.

---

And while in and above our innocence bled

The tears and clothes were vainly shed.

Our passion died as we both cried

But you’ll be in me as I leave you behind.
