This story was NOT written by me but by my friend Nicholas. He resides on where he’s called ‘Yumemiru’ so go there and check him out! It’s worth it. If you can handle a swedish website that is...

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

He stood up on the school roof and gazed down on the other students on the yard. They we're all running around down there, trying to get in time to their next class. But he wouldn't join them.

This was his haven, here he could kill some time or just sit for hours and think. No one ever came up here, besides some birds.

The sun was warm and the wind was soft on his skin. It was truly a perfect day. Slowly he walked to the ledge and sat down. He closed his eyes and felt the cool breeze of the summer wind against his skin.

"Hey, Darren, what are you doing up here?" said a voice behind him. He recognized the voice though; it was a boy from his class. As he turned around to face him, he tried to remember his name.

"Heya, Lucas" he said and looked at him. "I could ask you the same thing. It's not like I've seen you up here before.. We haven't spoken to each other for like.. 2 years maybe? So how come your here, speaking to me now?"

"Well, you see.. I just.. like.. wanted to talk to you.." Lucas blushed.

He gave Lucas a confused look.

"Why'd you want to talk to me?" He asked.

Lucas blushed again.

"I just wanted to say that I love you, Darren..." he said with a sigh. Then he turned around and walked away before Darren could answer.

"Wai-..!" Shouted Darren after him, but he was already gone. "Well, that was truly unexpected.." He said, staring down at the schoolyard and at the boy who made his way through the crowd, crying silently.

Confused, Darren went to his next class after all, hoping to find Lucas there, so they could talk. But, to his big dissapointment, Lucas wasn't there. Not that he expected it, considering how he acted towards the boy earlier on the roof.

"Hey, Annie" he wispered to the girl beside him. "Do you know where Lucas is?"

The girl eyed him curiously.

"What do you want with him? It's not like the two of you speak with each other, is it?" She said with a smile.

"Well, Annie, I need to speak with him now. He was going to tell me something before, but I was rude. I think I hurt him, so now I want to appologize to him. And since your his sister, I thought you'd know where he went." He stared at the floor for a second, than added. "Also, I want to know if what he told me is true..."

"Well, if he told you what I think he did, then you don't have to ask him. 'Cause, if the told you 'that', then its true." she said, the smile suddenly dissappering. "He told you he loved you, didn't he?"

"Well.." Darren started, but got interupted when the door to the classroom opened and Lucas walked in. He said not a word, just walked over to Darren and Annie.

"Hi, sis, Darren" he said and sat down next to Darren.

"Heya Lucas" said Darren, managing a smile towards the blond boy. Lucas didn't look at him, just sat there silently, focusing his eyes on the white board and the teacher.

Several minutes passed before Darren dared to speak to Lucas again.

"Hey, Lucas. About earlier today..." he started, but Lucas cut him short.

"Not now, Darren. We'll speak after class. Okay?"

”Well, okay..” said Darren, confused by the sudden rudeness in Lucas voice. With a sigh, he turned his attention to the teacher by the white board, but he caught him self looking at Lucas time after time, as minutes turned to hours.

As the class endend, Lucas stood up and left without a word to neither Darren nor Annie. Before he left the classroom, he gave Darren a quick look. Confused, Darren turned to Annie.

"Hey, Ann, how did you know what he was about to tell me?" He thought it was a really dumb question, but he couldn't find anything alse to say.

"Well, what do you think, stupid? I'm his sister, we don't keep secrets from each other. He told me this morning that he was going to talk to you."

"Okay.. That makes sense, I guess..“ He let out a sigh then stared out the window. "I was kind of suprised when he showed up on the roof and began talking to me. I mean, he doesn't even know me."

"True. But I think he wants to get to know you now." Annie said, smiling. "Now, Darren, he's been in love with you for some time now. I'm honestly surprised that he dared to speak with you. Would you PLEASE be kind to him. Even though you don't like him in that way, would you try not to hurt his feelings?"

"Yeah, sure. I'll try not to hurt him, although I think I already have. But I'm not even sure what I’m gonna say to him. I mean, he took me completely by surprise up there today. ” Darren said with a loud sigh. He rose from his chair and began walking towards the door.

“Hey, Darren.” Annie called after him. “Lets speak later on, ok?”

"Yeah, sure.." he said quietly and walked out the door.

Outside, he saw Lucas wait for him with his faced turned down.

Not sure what to do, he walked up to the boy. For a while, he just stood silently in front of him.

"Um.. Hi.. or.. something.." he said quietly. Not saying a word, Lucas turned his face up and stared into his eyes.

"Y-you know, we could like.. um.. go up to the roof and talk or something... " Darren said, blushing from the intense glare. "Im.. well.. uhm.."

Lucas continued to stare at him until, suddenly, a smile broke his all too serious expression.

"Are you always this nervous when you talk to someone?" he asked, giggeling.

"Hey, I'm sorry.. I don't know what to say, I've never done this before.." he said with a sigh. "But what do you say? Wanna go up on the roof?"

"You don't happen to know any place on the ground? I'm not very fond of hights.." Lucas said, with a fading smile. "Let's just go for a walk outside the school.. Don't want all the people to hear us speak about this.."

"Hm, okay.. You lead the way.." Darren said with a hesitant smile. Lucas gave him a small nod and began leaving the school building.

As they walked through the crowded hallways of the school, Darren couldn't help but feeling a bit out of place.

Gah. I can't stand all these people. It feels like they're all staring at me, laughing at me behind my back.. God, I hate it...’ he thought, and focused on the boy in front of him. Lucas didn't seem to care at all, confidently making his way through the crowd. As they approached the exit, Darren relaxed a bit, and when he felt the rush of cool air on his face again, he knew that they were out.

Lucas kept walking for about ten minutes, going further and further away from the school and the town center. Soon, they were approaching a small house in a, to him, unknown neighbourhood.

"Whats this place?" he asked, confused.

"Well.. This is my place.. it’s not very big or so, but at least its quiet. And no one is home for at least one hour, so we have some time to talk..." Lucas said and started to blush. "I know this must feel awkward for you, but this is really the only place I know of where we can be alone to talk.."

"It's okay.." said Darren and watched as Lucas fumbeled with the key to the door. Soon he had the door opened and they walked in. Lucas stopped on a small rug just inside the door and began to take his shoes of.

"Please do the same" he said when he had removed the first shoe. "Mum doesn't like when you step on the floor with dirty shoes..."

"Hah, I know what it's like" Darren responded with a smile and slipped out of his shoes too. "My mum is like that as well. If she got her way, we wouldn't be able to walk on the floor, since we only draw in a lot of dirt."

"You know what?" Lucas asked suddenly, changing the subject.

"Well, maybe. I know a lot of things.. Why don't you try me?"

"I'm not sure how to put this without sounding like a real moron, but.. You're very cute when you smile" he said, blushing and turning his face away.

"Um.. Thanks.. I guess" Darren replied, blushing himself. "This is the first time anyone has ever said that to me.."

"What?" Lucas said, apparently surprised. "Are you serious?"

"Yeah.."

"Well, you are.. Really, you are.." Lucas said and sighed. "This is my room over here by the way.." he continued and walked through a door with Darren right behind him.

It wasn't a very big room, just big enough to fit a bed, a bookshelf, a desk with a computer on it and some open space to move between the three things.

"Please, sit down wherever you like.." Lucas said hestitantly and sat down on the bed. Not knowing what to do, Darren sat down beside him. Several minutes of deafening silence followed before he decided it was time to ask Lucas about what he had said earlier.

"Did you really mean what you said up on the roof? That you.. love me?"

"Yeah... I know it sounds silly, since I don't know you or anything.. I mean, we have barely said a word to eachother during all the time we've been in the same class...I've just been.. watching you.." Lucas said with a small sigh. "I hope you don't dislike me or anything, I mean.. It must feel strange to you since I’m... a boy.. and such..."

"Well, yes.. it does feel strange.. Not only that you're a boy, but this is like the first time anyone beside the ones in my family have said that they love me.. So I'm a bit confused right now.."

"Sorry about that... It's just that.. I kinda.. needed to tell you..." He said with a pale smile. "It's hard to go around and carry such feelings without being able to tell anyone..."

"Annie seemed to know about this and that... How did she find out that you... like guys..?"

Lucas let out a loud sigh. "I really don't wanna talk about it. Its kinda embarrasing and I've blushed enough for one day..." he said, but couldn't help blushing again. That brought a smile to Darrens face.

"This boy actually have some feelings for me" he thought to himself. "And rather strong it seems. I wonder how come. We have barely said a word to eachother during these 2 years we've been in the same class. Only said a word now and then when I've been hanging out with his sister... Wierd... That I became friend with his sister, but not with him. And... I wonder whats gonna happen between him and me now. I mean.. he seems like a nice guy and all that and I can't deny the fact that he's cute, but.."

He awoke from his thoughts when he felt something soft, warm and slightly moist being pressed against his lips. At first he didn't really understand what was going on until he realized that it was Lucas! And he was kissing him! For a moment he was stunned, lost in the feeling. But when Lucas broke the kiss and moved away he came to his senses.

"..Wow" was all he could say. And when he finally looked at the blond boy in front of him, Lucas turned his face towards the window instead.

"I'm.. sorry.." he said, his voice filled with fear. "If you hate me now, thats fine.. But I just couldn't help myself.. You were so.. beautiful when you sat there, lost in your thoughts.." he continued and if Darren wasn't mistaken he could hear Lucas sob under his breath.

"Hey, mate, don't cry.." Darren said and placed his hand on Lucas' shoulder. He could feel Lucas tremble as they touched. "I don't hate you.. Not at all. To be honest, I actually.. well.. liked it.." The last few words came out as a whisper, but loud enough for Lucas to hear them. For a moment, there was nothing but silence. He could hear Lucas' quiet sobs and his own breath, coming out a little more rapid that usual. And when Lucas turned towards him again, he could see the relief in his deep blue eyes.

"R-really..? You.. liked it..?" Lucas asked, somewhat surprised but still a little cautious. And Darren couldn't blame him. But he had actually liked the kiss, even though it caught him completely off guard. And when he nodded he could see Lucas face brighten up in a big smile. "Good, 'cause I was afraid you'd hit me or something.." He let out a sigh of relief. "So.. can I do it again..?" he asked cautiously, not really daring to look Darren in the eyes.

"Well.. yeah, I guess you can.." Darren responded, suddenly feeling a little nervous. Sure, he had liked the kiss before, but it felt a little wierd to kiss another guy. He had never even thought about it before this happened. But when Lucas kissed him again he forgot all his worries and just enjoyed the moment. And this time, he actually kissed him back. He could feel himself getting excited, but couldn't do anything about it. He didn't want to break the kiss.

"Oh, I see you're enjoying eachothers company." he suddenly heard someone say. That almost made him jump out of his skin. Someone had seen him kiss Lucas. When he turned towards the door he saw Annie, Lucas' twin sister, stand there with a huge grin on her face.

"A-annie" he heard Lucas stutter beside him. "H-how long have you been home?"

"Just a few minutes, but I guess you two love-birds were to busy tasting eachother to notice I got home." she responded with a wink at them. When Darren looked at Lucas he saw that the boys face was bright red and wondered if he was that red himself.

"I.. I'd better go home now" he said and swiftly headed towards the door. He heard both Annie and Lucas call out something after him, but he didn't hear what. Or care for that matter. All he wanted to do now was to get out of that place. It was all to weird for him right now. He just couldn't belive that he'd actually returned the kiss, but it did happen. His erection was proof enough for that. But why had he gotten excited over kissing a guy? Damn, this was way to much. He opened the door and just ran out, away from his friends and all the weired, mixed-up emotions.

Meanwhile, inside, Lucas gave his sister a glare that could've killed a buffalo.

"Thanks for ruining it, sis" he grumbeld. "I think he actually liked it tho.." he added then. "I wonder what would've happened if you hadn't come home and interrupted us. I wonder how far he could've gone..."

"Awh, thats cuuuuuute" Annie laughed. "My li'll bro' is thinkin' about sex with the boy he looooooves."

"Just shut up, Ann." He responded and closed the door in her face.
