it’s weighing down your brain
your head falls hard onto the desk.
Chew on an idea, spit it out.
creating used-up paper clouds,
the floor littered with the crap
that you don’t want to keep.
Clench your teeth and start again
grab another gel-blue pen
and put it to the paper
just to stare at all the white.
