Despair

Intrigued - by the sins of men,
my gut wrenches and my heart is overturned.
I grasp the feeble light within the darkness,
and crumble. Oh - life, how long I have yearned..

Soaked in sorrow, and plunged into despair,
I have seeked for redemption.

Though no atonement be needed,
for what ink blotches, smiles, or laughter
can save me from such bleak notions.

When frustration and sadness finally collides...
Death, I plead of you.
Please, shed me this light,
for I have been enveloped in despair.
