A Brief history

Long ago, there was a land that is now known to us by another name. The Sumers had ruled this land for many generations. The 11th generation King was named Eugene and his Queen was Annabelle. There was great rejoicing when Queen Annabelle finally after many years of trying, gave birth to a daughter that they named Ashleigh. After Ashleigh’s birth, Queen Annabelle and King Eugene were told that they would not be able to have another child. This posed a problem as by law only males were allowed to inherit the crown. After great discussion and debate with his advisers, King Eugene changed the law to allow Ashleigh and future princesses to inherit the crown. Soon after the law was changed to the surprise of everyone, Queen Annabelle became pregnant again and gave birth to a baby boy called Shithyad. After Shithyad was born there were calls from some of the countries more traditional nobility to change the law back but King Eugene ignored them. Unbeknown to all Shithyad grew up bitter that he had been robbed of what he saw as his birthright. Years later, when Ashleigh was crowned Shithyad declared his intentions to take over as the rightful heir and a civil war followed. After several bloody years Shithyad was defeated and banished to a far corner of the kingdom because no matter what he did Ashleigh could not kill him because he was her brother. Three years after Shithyad’s banishment Ashleigh gave birth to her first child and this is where my story begins.

AN: well here is my newest idea that i quickly started when i was ment to be doing study for exams. procrastination really is a bads thing. The family name started out as Sumerville but then when I was quickly cramming for a human biology test i had forgotten all about i read about the Sumer region near the Persian Gulf which is where they suspect the first cities were erected (I think... dont quote me on it as I did read about it in a cramming session and havent had the time to check up on it. But I do plan to do so) and my brain through the pre test hysteria managed to link onto the word and say to me "you should check that out for your sleeping beauty story. It would be good to have an actual setting" so there you have it. hehe thought you would like to know. Anyway I have to get back to study.
