I fell to earth today,
Someone made me fall.
A comment was tossed,
I was blind-sided by it all.

I shook my head, unknowingly,
To clear my hurting mind.
How could someone do this,
I had always been so kind.

I lay there cut and bruised,
Trying to stem the pain.
What did someone get from this?
What did they hope to gain?

I thought that only hurt,
Would flood my soul today.
Then you, my friend,
Said something sweet to take the hurt away.

They meant it to crush,
They meant it to defame.
They meant it to lower,
The honor of my name.

This person that I am,
Is all that I can be.
Too bad they only live in pride,
And never see the good you see in me.
