Set Aside in Fear and Fire

9/20/06

She absorbed it all,

Hate and Happiness

Loathe and Friendliness

Love and Lust

Want and Need

Joy and Grief

There was no discrimination

Against emotions or actions

What occurred in her surroundings

Is what she swallowed.

Like a dry sponge

Set in a sink filled with

Soap and water,

She absorbed is, suds and all.

Her innocence was tainted.

Suddenly she was aware

Of the world around her.

A dirty, filthy world

Where whores were paid

And hearts were slaved,

Where love was only lust, in game.

The objective of life was to

TAKE, TAKE, TAKE

But she only

GAVE, GAVE, GAVE

Until there was nothing left

To give.

Every breath of life

Every drop of blood

Was stolen.
