The strong doesn’t necessarily run with the weak
Words don’t run in combination without another
Insight forthright, never the lesser or the equal
Challenges become impediment; belittled or sometimes scattered
Feelings run with emotions while emotions run wild, often times obscured
While the obvious are oblivious to the unobvious
Rarely do we listen, when we say we pay attention
You hear words spoken but forget their meaning
When the meaning of everything unspoken
Is heard even louder, almost shouting in our ears
Our hands ache to please, to feel the pride of justice
When our mind often only remembers
The injustice, discrimination, and intolerance;
Everything that’s the opposite
Of the validity we wish to hear
Fingers tremble with the right to fairness, equality
When our minds still shout bigotry, rather than learning
The lessons we receive, where some think its just better
To turn a blind eye, and look over our shoulders
To read the black and white of hate crimes
Splattered across pages and billboard signs
Silence screams while the unnoticeable scheme
Tears fall in succession yet they never meet anywhere
Lies and truths become stirred
The pale become the remembered
And the remembered become the lost
Bland characters become more insipid, Lost to our fancies
While the dull become new shiny objects of our affection
Lusts that feed curses of the betrothed pretenders, just one more hypocrite
When will we take notice that we change
Just like the weather, the very climates of our Statutes
We were once men, one nation united
A place we stood tall where we now stumble
Standing above ground, crumbling faster
Truths have become fictitious under a false leaders eye
While he turns each and every corner to cover another lie
Our rights created under the knowledge of better men
Only to be lost under newly created, or overwritten laws
Where all I can hear is ::
Our hopes, our beauty
The rules of our foreknown principles
The creed to out ideology
While the Forefathers of our nation,
Are being washed away with one more
Presidents’ secreted sin
As he sings :
“you can’t deny
that I’ll be the one mistake,
you’ll carry forever.
you know there’s no blood
on the stars and stripes
of our American justice, a banner
discolored by hypocrisy,
where my voice
(your President)
leaves no glory for the faded”
