This godforsaken hour dawns

With the echoed words it brings.

Dreams are not an option

When the very silence rings.

Counting by the minute,

the second and the hour.

The Dark keeps me forever

Locked within his power.

Lying here so still

Still I cannot sleep.

The shores are further than before

And my wakefulness too deep.

Shadows creep across the floor

I stare at the candle lights.

This creeping dread I can't ignore,

My insomnia through the nights.
