Blue

Laeius looked down despondently at the Earth, drinking from his wine glass and sighing. The air up there was thinner, much thinner, but if you stayed up there for long enough, your lungs would grow strong enough to withstand the pressure. Laeius placed his glass back on the table and put his arms up against the back of the chair he was sitting in, his chin in the folds of his sleeves, and frowned.

The people of earth were always so bland and drab, wasting their lives away working the soil to produce food, trying desperately to stay alive while suffering through the elements. The rain would tear away their crops, drown their livestock, and flood their homes. Yet up in the clouds where Laeius sat quietly, you had no worries of rain or insufferable heat or chilling cold. The climate was temperate and almost always the same temperature. Of course, that was because it was regulated. Laeius reached out and traced his finger against the force field, watching the translucent hexagons become visible at his touch. Yet how boring it was. He wished there were some great catastrophe like there was on earth. He wished to know what it was like to survive a hurricane or to feel the tremors of an earthquake. What was it like to fear for your life in an alley or decrepit building? What was it like to starve? What was a struggle and how did it feel? He’d heard so often of how the people below felt pain and all these awful feelings everyday because of the pressures of life. He tried to think hard of how it would feel, even turned food away for an hour until he became too hungry to resist, but it was so beyond his grasp. Reality in the clouds was much different than reality on the ground.

Laeius brought his finger back from the field, turning around and looking languidly at his servant, Judais. Judais was a long slender girl, long hair that had been dyed a light blue the color of the sky. It was mandatory that anyone from the ground who travels to the sky to be a servant have some part of their body changed to make their different comings completely apparent to anyone else who looked at them. She was almost as tall as Laeius himself, only Judais was just below his shoulder when he stood his tallest. It was odd, Laeius thought, considering any other woman on the cloud Zeyuk only came up to the center of his chest. Perhaps it was another defect of the Earthens. They were darker in their skin tone, their hair was thicker and coarse, and their voices were louder and deeper. They weren’t soft and gentle like any other Cloud Walker. It seemed strange, Laeius thought, that the people below them should be so different from the people above them. They were created by the same master, weren’t they? So why weren’t they the same? Laeius didn’t believe the tales that his elders told him about how they had pure blood.

“Kulvi says it is time for lunch. He would like you to attend the dining area as soon as possible. He states there are urgent matters to discuss with you regarding the proximity of the war cloud Ibius.” Judais bowed after she finished speaking, her voice formal, her posture formal, and her expression formal. Formal meaning that it conveyed absolutely nothing. Everything about the land dwellers was supposed to be completely monotonous. Ironic, Laeius thought, since he believed that life on a cloud, being a Cloud Walker, was almost the most monotonous thing anyone could possibly ever do expect perhaps to play cards with Kulvi, who always played the same tricks and lost. For the Emperor of Defense, his strategies at playing cards always seemed the make Laeius, the Emperor of War on cloud Zeyuk, uneasy.

“I will go to Kulvi eventually. For now, I’m not interested in hearing his nervous chatter. Sit with me, I want to interrogate you again,” Laeius said, turning in his chair and retracting his fingers from the force field that trapped him. He watched blandly as Judais sat in a chair across from him, seemingly comfortable with the situation though a servant looking comfortable in the presence of her master was forbidden and resulted in immediate expulsion back to the surface they had so desperately fled. Of course, though he wished she didn’t know him quite so well, she understood that Laeius would not let them. “Explain to me again the terrain of the Earth. What does it feel like?”

Judais calmly took a breath and closed her eyes. “It’s been long, Laeius, you know that. I barely remember now. It was brown, hard, and dusty. The dust would get into the homes and bury people while they slept. Our houses weren’t much of a shelter against the outside. It’s hard to describe the terrain. For the most part, it was just dry and flat for as far as the eye could see.” Judais’ eyes cracked open and she stared at the blue sky above her. She remembered when she had revered it, thought it was real and cherished the pure color. But Laeius had scorned her for her blindness and divulged the illusion. It was merely a hologram imprinted on the force field around them. Outside, it was much grayer, but only the Emperors were permitted to the balconies outside to observe the surroundings. This was to preserve the peace of the people on the cloud of Zeyuk, the Utopia.

“What are the people like?” Laeius questioned further. Judais questioningly raised a brow and smiled softly.

“Why, they are quite like me. Barbaric in a sense. We are dirty, probably smell profane though to us it is hard to discern. We lack proper education if we are not wealthy enough to receive it and those who are ignorant of the Cloud Colonies live almost happily in their suffering.” Judais sniffed and stood, walking to the Hexa-barrier and traced her finger over it, her eyes flashing as the shapes flashed under her touch. “Though… I suppose every dwelling has its good side and its bad side. Even here. People live in peace and blissful harmony, believing the world to be good all around, but they are only fooled by illusions and lies. They are prisoners of their utopia. The cloud Zeyuk holds them captive inside of their happiness, but if they only venture outside for a moment, they would realize all is not as it seems to them. How horrible it would be to discover such a façade.”

“Do you like it better up here than you do down there? Would you go back if you could?”

“I believe that I would be happier up here with all its lies. Down on Earth, there is much more to suffer and struggle through. While it seems boring to you, it is a relief to me. I no longer have to worry about whether my family will be alive when I wake or how many hours will pass before I am alone and must fend for myself. I am fed well here and clothed well and I am never in need of anything. Even you Laeius, are kind to me. The Earth was nothing but cruel.” Judais looked at Laeius and gave him a gentle smile. Though he was the Emperor of War and was taught to be cruel and merciless towards his enemies, he was nothing but considerate to those he considered friends. To Judais, it was a world of change and it pleased her a great deal to receive his kindness despite her previous anxiety.

“Judais, do you believe Kulvi to be incompetent?” Laeius asked quietly, gazing at the table in fatigue. His boredom had reached a new level.

“You know I’m not allowed to talk of Cloud Walkers with such disrespect, especially an Emperor.” Judais chuckled quietly and crossed her legs. Her white, woven cotton dress hung over her muscular legs and sandaled feet. Laeius pretended not to take notice.

“Yes, I know very well it is rude to make fun of other Emperors, but we are not in the presence of this said Emperor and I promise not to tell him of your opinion. I, personally, believe him to be incompetent. He plays cards like an infant, casting the same tricks and schemes. He makes me worry of the protection of our cloud. The Utopia won’t survive against a war cloud such as Ibius. It is notoriously a very dark and stormy cloud. Zeyuk must rely on its Emperor of Defense to create clever movements to confuse such muscle headed clouds as Ibius. If Kulvi decides to wear the same tactics thin, then even a stupid cloud like Ibius could figure out a pattern. As it is, I know how to utilize our limited weapons to their fullest, but against Ibius, a cloud that specializes in offensive maneuvers, we would be blown away before even our first cannon was warmed up. Now tell me, does a man like Kulvi come across as a competent or incompetent Emperor?” Laeius leaned on the table and gave Judais a questioning stare.

“My opinion is that an Emperor is not just picked at random. Kulvi had to prove himself as a competent man in order to be bestowed the title of Emperor. So, while he may suffer at cards, he must excel at defense. Cards and defense are drastically different things anyway. If I can not play a game of cards, does it mean I cannot clean a floor or serve you your dinner?” Judais smiled as though she believed herself to be smart and Laeius withered.

“Of course it means nothing. You have once again proven yourself a very intelligent lady. My apologies.” Laeius closed his arms around his head and shut his eyes. “I feel as though Ibius’ presence is almost a gift to disrupt the boredom that pervades this god awful place.”

Judais nodded almost in agreement. From her experience on Earth, the last thing she wanted was for something as awful as Ibius to come in contact with Zeyuk. Though it was Laeius’ experience on the cloud that made him desire Ibius. Judais uncrossed her legs and crossed them again.

“I do not wish to go see Kulvi. Entertain me Judais.” Laeius lifted his head. Judais appeared to be stunned.

“How?”

The question made Laeius laugh and he patted Judais’ hands softly. Though her inquiry had been so innocently asked and had struck Laeius as nothing short of odd, he didn’t quite know how he expected her to himself. They sat staring at each other quietly, Judais’ face flickering with a reel of emotions and Laeius with confusion as he tried to understand.

“I know of a way to entertain you, Laeius, though I do believe you’ve never been introduced to such a thing before. At least not to my knowledge. People up here to not indulge themselves in the same way they do on Earth.” Judais stood and caressed the table with her bronzed fingertips, drawing around the table until she stood rather close to Laeius’ side. The Emperor looked up at her and pursed his lips. There was an odd light in her eyes that he had never seen expressed in her before and even the Emperor of War found himself somewhat intimidated by it. He wasn’t a strong man by any means and he had never experienced a physical fight in his life as Judais had; it was one of the many advantages to living on the Cloud Zeyuk.

Judais wondered if this was officially stepping over her boundaries. She had learned which rules she was permitted to disregard around Laeius, but she had never before attempted to break the rule of space which stated she was to never touch a Cloud Walker for she was dirty and a foreigner. She was only to show the utmost respect to Cloud Walker’s. So while she found herself excited, she was also extremely nervous. Laeius had asked for her to entertain him and it was her duty to do so at any means, obey his requests.

She allowed her fingers to travel from the table and up towards Laeius’ nose, letting them dance upon the flesh as she slowly descended to her knees. He watched her, rigid, sitting upright in his chair with his hands lying against the arms. She gave him a smile and tentatively pressed the palms of her hands on his knees, an action which left little trace of surprise in the stoic man’s face. Empowered by his silent approval, she pushed them up, along with the robe he wore. A flicker of emotion passed behind his pupil’s, but he said nothing and did not move at all. She continued until she had exposed the smooth and pale skin of his thighs, the hem of his dress barely obscuring the phallus that had not yet grown hard.

Slowly, waiting for a reprimand, she lowered her eyes and fed the robe further into his hips, exposing the covering that clung tight to his shaft. A frown was barely discernible upon his lips as she pulled away at that covering and unveiled her object of desire. It tumbled out into her hand, soft and smooth and never before used. She had always found it strange that Cloud Walkers were not educated in sex and that they did not maintain relationships with other Walkers, but Earth’s ways and their differences seemed strange to them so she guessed she couldn’t complain too hard.

Judais stroked it gently, Laeius squirming uncomfortably in his chair as it began to twitch to an upright position. She looked up towards Laeius for a sign to stop and received nothing more than a flushed face and surprise. It was unusual to catch the Emperor of War off guard, if ever at all, but he seemed at a loss of what to do. The feelings were alien to him, the tickling sensation of pleasure, and the desire to have more… Laeius jerked as Judais covered the tip with her mouth and gripped the arms of the chair he sat in with his fingers, his feet planted firmly on the ground. She worked her tongue over the length, stroking it gently with a ring of her fingers and slid her hand underneath the sac that sat against the fabric of his robe.

When she glanced back towards Laeius, his head was pointed up, his eyes closed and mouth parted as his breath rushed loudly between his rosy lips. Judais began to stroke the erected flesh harder, gripping it tighter between her fingers and sucked on the head a little harder, listening to Laeius’ soft moans. Empowered by the control she had over him, she lifted her own dirt colored skirt and slipped aside the cotton fabric of her underwear as she rested herself on top of Laeius’ lap. He snapped back to focus and stared at her with a quiet regard, both suspicious and curious, as she slid him into her. Within a few thrusts, Judais had Laeius completely oblivious and back into her control, manipulating his pleasure points and tensing the muscles around Laeius’ phallus. She looked down at him as he rested his head back against the chair and closed his eyes, his lips pursed and his brow furrowed, his cheeks the color of the sky at sunset; a brilliantly radiant red.

Laeius sat concentrating on the sensation Judais was showing him, the weight of her body as she brought it back to him and the pressure of her fingers against his shoulders as she lifted herself away. He felt a pressure building in his lower regions and he felt it throb with urgency when Judais began to move faster. He opened his eyes to the sight of Judais’ chest hefting up and down along with her body, the heavy load bobbing towards him as she rose and falling away as she fell. He had a curious urge to unclothe them and began to unbutton the copper snaps until he could see the defined line of her cleavage. He stroked the soft breasts with his thumbs, exposing the standing nipples and exploring with his fingers. He heard Judais gasp and began to finger them more confidently, pushing them to the left and to the right and then pinching and rolling them between his thumb and forefinger. Her long blue hair fell over her face and her neck and chest became lined with perspiration, something Laeius fleetingly thought was unbecoming.

The pressure he had felt before grew to the point where Laeius grabbed Judais arm to stop her, the intensity frightening to him, but found his weak grip did nothing to halt her movements. Desperately, he clutched at her waist and braced himself, his teeth gritted, as he felt the pressure leave him in one relieving blast. Judais stopped, pushing down one last time and crouching down towards Laeius, her arms thrown about his neck as she cringed and made a strange squeaking noise in his ear. He was too distracted to think about the ugliness of the sound.

He found he didn’t mind the fact that Judais had her arms around his neck or the weight of her body on him even as it grew heavier. The sweat that left her forehead and smeared against his neck felt almost pleasant to him and, for some strange reason, her origin from Earth did little to elicit any disgust. The overwhelming feeling he had just experienced that he had never before experienced from himself or from another had been nothing short of amazing in his mind and he found he was quite smitten with Judais for showing him. In fact, he felt rather attached to the girl, which was quite in discordance with the rules and way of life on the Cloud Zeyuk. Somewhat entranced, he lifted his arms and placed it around the muscular back of the girl who took up his legs and slipped his face along hers until his chin touched her shoulder. She tensed and shifted, but he held her still, taking in the scent of musk that had been permanently implanted in her skin from her long years of strife on Earth. It was no longer as unappealing to him as it had normally been. Rather, he found himself breathing in deep breaths just to gather more of the scent. Judais eventually relaxed back onto his body.

It felt comfortable, Laeius admitted, having her there with him as she was. It was strangely nice to have his arms around someone as he did, to feel their body under his arms. On the Cloud Zeyuk, it was unwritten, but it was common knowledge that being close to someone was not allowed. They did not want the strife of relationships, the awkwardness of breaking up and the spiteful attempts at revenge. Laeius did not know this for it had been decided long before his time on the Cloud Zeyuk by his ancestors.

Judais remained silent, staring at the pale skin of Laeius’ neck and wondering how long she would be allowed to sit like she was against Laeius, whether he was thinking of a way to punish her for her actions, but he made no movement. Frightened for the first time, Judais froze, her muscles straining in pain as she kept them still. He would surely send her back to Earth, back to the home that held no friends, and away from the safety and comfort of the cloud. She shouldn’t have gotten so comfortable around Laeius. She had been foolish. She deserved to be sent back to Earth.

There was a knock upon the door and Laeius tapped her back, setting her back upon the ground and fixing his robe so that it appeared as though it had never been disturbed. He approached Judais who was fretfully smoothing out her dress, her face flushed, and lifted her head to him, taking away the stray strands of her cerulean hair from her face and tucking them behind her ear. She stared at him, eyes wide, and held her breath, but he smiled and pressed his lips to her cheek, Zeyuk’s way of showing affection to a friend. Relieved, she graced his hand with her fingers.

“Laeius? Laeius? Are you in there? Hasn’t Judais told you I have urgent business to discuss with you? Cloud Ibius is close!” Kulvi’s voice screamed from the other side of the door. Laeius sighed, his face returning to its nebulous state of indifference and looked to Judais.

“I will discuss with you what just transpired later. As for right now, Kulvi desires I annihilate him at cards again. Expect me back within three hours and, please, have my tea and dinner ready for my return. And please bring your meal up as well. I wish to dine in company tonight,” Laeius stated absently, waving his hand ambiguously and walking to the door. He opened it to reveal an anxious looking Kulvi on the other side who quickly waved him back towards the Room of Decisions on the other side of the cloud. Judais bowed at he left, waiting until the door closed before she allowed the smile to spread gently across her face.

Authors Note: A little heavy on the introduction, but oh well. They eventually got to it, right? Yeh. Next up is purple (not started), and the first of the lesbians (perhaps the only... dunno). If anything isn't... correct, oh well, I haven't gone that far with a lady, so I'm going from the online lesbian kamasutra. Heh.
