A Few Little Flaws

Of all the suitors that have asked me for marriage,

All are fine, handsome young men.

With the strength of an ox,

And the wealth of a prince.

Graceful and masculine,

Etiquette and rugged.

The bluest of eyes and the blondest of hair,

Perfect in every way.

Of all the suitors that have asked me for marriage,

All to whom I have declined.

For, I look at you now, and notice but a few things.

You aren’t given given a second glance

As people pass while you work for a trifle.

You are clumsy and weak,

Dirty and rude.

One time you ask me to marry you,

And one time I accept.

All because of a few little flaws.
