We held hands, we danced the night away,
But dawn never came.
We cried as the night reined down and shattered
Into a million pieces that scattered across the lines in your face
And our tears froze hitting the ground so hard that it shook.
The butterflies flew away to save there beauty for another moment
Though time lay still after there departure.
The glamorous flowers we danced upon broke down
And decayed in to a festering mulch that stung the skin and burnt the eyes
And the trees turned barren and the air drew thin.
We kissed under the frozen rain
And held each other until our skin grew pail, than blue
Then all the feeling disappeared from our bones.
I asked you if you loved me than turned
And you were gone, turned to stone
Then crumbled down around my touch.
