The End Poem.

After many bumps, kinks and twists
It seems we've reached the end
So long ago, I came to you
For somebody to call a friend

The beginnings were soft and sweet
It seemed too good to be true
Alas, the middles were rough
I was feeling cast out by you

Now here, the end, and I've realised
There's nothing left to do
But I can still say something
Something bold, and sad, and true

It's not because I hate you
and I know you don't hate me
I think there's just no room
In your close-knit family

We'll say goodbye and hug
and I know that I'll be missed
But there isn't a place for me to fit
Nothing left to be accomplished

This is the last time you'll see my face
So give me a friendly smile
It's a big world out there for me
And I'll be alone for a while

Where to for me, I wonder?
Because now there's no going back
I'm out, alone and silent
but I think I'm OK, perhaps

For I will see you, here and there
a wave, smile, good day
Just know that I will miss you
There's nothing left to say.
