All I’ve got are inspirations,
and aspirations of a dream I’ve always had.
And there’s a lot of good things in this life I’m livin’;
Family, friends, food, and a woman like a diamond
But there’s an old hope within me that just won’t
Seem to go bad.

This hope it’s thriving deep inside
It’s got a heartbeat all it’s own
This hope, it’s kicking and screaming in my mind
It’s begging for fulfillment, it’s pleading to become
More than something like an oasis.

And this blue-green horizontal line
I walk, which separates creation from design
It may be in my past. See, my future
Looks more wavy; not just rolling hills,
But crashing tides, not rolling hills,
Rather crashing tides…

Goodbye rolling hills,

Where are you crashing tides?
