Dreading Monday Morning

As the alarm clock rings

My eyes shoot open in pain

I throw the alarm clock against the wall

Dreading Monday morning

My eyes shoot open in pain

I feel dizzy as I stumble to find the light switch

Dreading Monday morning

The light burns my eyes light salt on a slug

I feel dizzy as I stumble to find the light switch

I smack into the closed bathroom door

The light burns my eyes like salt on a slug

Shivering, I turn the knobs on the shower

I smack into the closed bathroom door

On the way to retrieve my forgotten towel

Shivering, I turn the knobs on the shower

I forgot to turn off the water

On the way to retrieve my forgotten towel

So that I can dry my dripping hair

I forgot to turn off the water

The bathroom is now flooded

So that I can dry my dripping hair

I hear the alarm clock again

The bathroom is now flooded

My eyes shoot open with pain
