adversity
by: classic violet

-

sunlight twitches my eyelash,
as we clash;
glass onto pavement.

road signs were drowning
in night, I bid goodbye
to childhood.

floating down a black highway
white lights blind me.
i tell myself: focus.

blurred images,
blurred photographs (in
my hand) torn,
blurred imagination.

stay awake.

feet up on the dashboard,
bobble head dog.
winding road,
as centuries pass by.

from blue to black,
and backward,
my life fell into place:

tragedy.
