Rachel
Things did not start out the way I expected. I had been dressed to kill, to show Kyle what he was missing and he brushed me off. No one brushed Rachel Leblanc off. I restrained my anger. After all, that’s why there is always a Plan B.
Miffed that Kyle blew me off, I looked around the club for someone worthy of my attention.
It was then I saw Tara, the girl that Kyle was interested in. I took her in, definitely a prude, I mean look at her clothes.
I rolled my eyes, my gaze settling on the guy next to her but I figured they didn’t know each other when she went on to the bar while he walked on. He was definitely attractive, lanky, light brown skin but very dark eyes. He looked laidback, confident, fun – my type of guy.
“Hey…” I sidled up to his side, giving an attractive pout.
He was a smooth type because I didn’t notice him take me all in one glance and I knew he did.
The only thing was he wasn’t smiling.
Ah, I figured he was the kind of guy who wanted to make the moves and was put off by me walking up to him like a woman on the prowl. Well, he had to deal with it. I didn’t walk up to any guy. I had chosen him.
“Hi. I’m…”
I placed a finger on his lips. I didn’t care for names.
His eyes narrowed at me. He scowled.
I scowled back.
Before I could blink, I was pressed against the wall, his lips parting mine. devouring me.
What the hell? I struggled under his grip. No one treated me like that. No one. Yet, I couldn’t help my eyes fluttering shut and clinging to him. Damn he was a good kisser. That was the only reason I let his dominance slide. Also, someone like him would be a great way to exorcise Kyle out of my system.
Before, I could make my move he drew away from me, looking down at me as though disgusted, like I had caused all this.
What an ass.
He had a great one too and he was walking away
“Hey!”
Shit I didn’t know his name
“Hey!” I called out again.
He stopped and turned. “Yes?”
“No one walks away from Rachel LeBlanc.” I huffed, pulling him into a dark corner.
What? It was a night club, the one place I could have sex in public… with my clothes on of course.
It might have been a quickie but it was the best damn one I had ever had. I looked up at his dark eyes and tears ran down my face.
He looked terrified, appalled but strangely he didn’t take off, watching as I wiped my eyes.
“It’s okay. I guess we were both hung up on other people.”
What? He had been using me. It didn’t occur to me that I had been doing the same thing.
I raised my hand to hit him but he caught it in his, his hands engulfing mine.
“You just don’t want to admit it.” He stared down at me until I relented, relaxing my hand and he loosened his grip, letting my hand fall to my side.
“So will I see you?” what I did not just say that. “No strings, of course.” I purred.
He nodded, pulling out a slip of paper from his pocket and writing down his name and number before handing it to me.
His eyes roamed around the club and he must have seen something that bothered him, “I have to leave now.” He gave me one last glance before leaving. I lost track off him in the crowd.
I smoothened my dress with one hand as I read the slip of paper in my hand. I couldn't believe it. Maybe things were going to work out after all.
