"Mariea it’s getting late honey, time to come inside!" yelled the 5-year-old's mother.
"I'll be in a seconded mommy!" yelled the little girl, but first she had to help the baby bird out of the snow.
"All right little birdy, now your free! Fly home!"
The baby blue bird seemed to understand for he tilted his head and flew off.
"Now Mariea!" Mariea's mom exclaimed.
"Coming!" She replied.
After a shower and a mug of hot chocolate, Mariea's mother tucked her into bed.
"Goodnight mommy!" Mariea said happily.
"Goodnight honey!" her mother gave her a kiss and went back downstairs.
Later on that night Mariea heard her mother scream. She quietly tip-toed out to the living room to see her mother struggling with a strange man!
His hair was a shiny black along with his clothing.
She looked over at her mother who was slowly dying, something was killing her. Then she saw the strange man was biting her mom! She looked back at her mother hazel eyes and something told her to run!
She ran to her room and shut and locked the door. After that, she opened her window and quickly climbed out and shut it.
She ran frantically to get away from the house. That’s when she heard something behind her. She ran faster. She didn’t see the drop below at the end of the woods. She ran until she slipped and on the way down she hit her head on the rock and darkness slowly came...
A young man found her barley alive and took her back to a huge dark building.
She opened her eyes just a little and saw the boy carrying her; he looked just a little older than her. That’s when she saw his teeth, they looked just like the teeth that killed her mommy!
That's when she decided to struggle with all her might-just to get away! She was afraid he was going to hurt her as well.
He looked down at her, "My name is Kiane, and I will not harm you." he said gently.
"Please don’t bite...me..." Mariea said as she fell into the darkness once more...
