the great beyond

what would you say if
you noticed that I was
slipping away? beyond
your reach and the walls
of safety - out along the
river and to the great
b e y o n d.

because I am slowly
suffocating -
bleeding myself dry
a thousand times over.
crusted blood on marble
lips and still I cannot scream.

I am a frozen astronaut
trapped where time and
death sleep side-by-side.
I am a dreamer, thinking
and seeing things that you
don’t(won’t).

( you know I love you but
I just can’t take this. )

there are a million words that
I could use to spell out on five
fingers how I feel. with nails
cut sharp, so plain in colour; it’s
hard to notice me outside of the
crowd.

and so this feeling of DESPERATION
begins.

( what would you say if you
saw me die and the blood that
I lost represented your grief? )

what would you say if -

I wasn’t here anymore;
because I am drifting on
my raft of loneliness and
everything seems so far
a w a y.

author's notes : two words. (i feel) so lost. i have no best friend anymore and i feel like everyone around me is just there out of pity. confused much? yeah.
