Holly The Poem. One Year On.

After a year has passed
School, friends anew
Does she see herself
The way that you do?

With curly brown hair
Framing an innocent face

And matching brown eyebrows
A perfect bushy shape.

Swimming grey eyes
That have seen so much

A gentle heart
So easy to touch.

Being a good person
Is the best revenge

And those who hurt her
She will avenge,

To protect, to protect, to defend and to honour:
The right to smiling
Happiness is the key

She'll fight for peace
Love and liberty!

For she once knew
How it felt to cry

Not to care for life
With a will to die…

But now she sees
She was never to blame

Well they can't hurt her now
Simply because Holly is her name.
