she wants us to act like friends

for the negatives that never lie

(because they tell us exactly

what happens with their

thousand-word capacity)

so we pose (say cheese, everybody!)

for that forged memory and false photograph

because she wants everyone to know

how happy we are (never were)

just being friends with
