There are many faces you meet in life,
But not all stay with you a lifetime.
There are many friendships that will be built,
But many fade and not all shine.

A familiar face I came across today,
One from many years ago.
There was not one bit of silence in our meeting,
Our foundation of friendship has stayed that I know.

I’m a friend to a lot of people,
And I’m a hand to help in times of need;
But God has placed people in my life
With a love for the Lord similar to me.

That is our connection there is no doubt,
For everything in God should bring Him Glory.
A family of faces all in Him,
Is what the Father created us to be…
