Infernal

The world walks out without a care

Sometimes you wonder if you’re even there

Bright hues flee into a crimson waterfall

Sparkling, shining, the colors do call

Tears became meaningless years before

And so life rolls down instead, to the core

Where you wonder when again you’ll see day

Wishing unconsciously the light away

Fraught with worry now, only it’s too late

To make a wave, to appreciate

The water is still, calm and dark,

And the madness is turning downright stark

There will be no angels in white to guide your fate,

Burning red fires to start a clean slate,

Something is beautiful still, something is shining

Look for the cloud with the silver lining

Watch as it fades, fades away

Taste the wind, making the trees sway

You’re still alone, looking at the flowers

Wondering silently to pass the hours

You gaze upon magnolias, chrysanthemums, orchards

So pretty, so safe, so easy to torture

Another life, a chance, has passed you by

Now in this garden, immobile, you shall lie

Pondering something you missed with eternal grace,

Your dreams lie in front, bordered in lace,

Blood crying to be let out, ready to suck,

Tears come to your eyes just in time, but you’re out of luck.
