You have wronged me twice

Without meaning to do so.

The first of wrongs

Was indeed the worst.

You simply did nothing.

There were no words,

No touches, no looks;

There was merely absence.

Was a fault of your,

Though I do not believe it

Intentional.

You did do something

This time indeed.

And there were words,

But mostly looks

And this absence is that

Only of understanding.
