Cold seeps into my bones

Despite the layers of protection wrapped about me,

These white plaster walls

Turn to snow-covered stone

Before my eyes.

The chair I sit in and

That desk before me

Are but well disguised

Chains and locks.

People surrounded me

Calling themselves peers,

But in reality

They are my wardens.
