Let's start with a prologue:
Rich kid, who'd have guessed her life sucked?
Then she had a little baby,
His name was Fabi, yours truly, Soulshifter.
He was ready for the world, it ready for him?
Broke the doc's finger, look at the strength.
So they called him Bam-Bam.
Time to fast-forward, passed initial moments,
He forget 'em, zoom passed the video games,
He ain't got much of a life, he was smart.
Destined for the adventure of the no-life,
Fabi'd get 100 points for jumping the barrels.
Walking in the legacy of his predecessor,
He lived the Super Mario, Super Return of the Jedi,
Super Metroid, Super Sonic, and Super Nintendo.
He was a Wonderboy in the Monsterworld.
The first girlfriend would introduce him
To the Patrick, gaming god, by all accounts.
They were only 7 and a part of the Shining Force.
The next chapter, time to move out of the trailer,
Fabi moved into a house, in the middle of nowhere.
Soon to learn the horrors of middle school,
Naivety was doomed, he'd learned words.
Breaking his arm in Germany, cut his finger Swiss-style.
He totally spent his summers with grandma,
In Chicago, he popped his 3-D cherry.
Champion of Super Smash Bros, Kirby Masta'.
Soon Fabi got his hands on a Gameboy Color,
And was never the same, oh wait, nevermind.
The next great saga burst the scene, Pokémon.
Gotta catch 'em all, gotta catch 'em all, eh?
Collected them all, failed the entire 7th grade.
Fabi would know the woes of scissors,
Reaffirmed goals, it was clear, life sux.
There was Chris, they'd share a "gay" moment, or two,
Not really, but everyone else thought so.
Fabi was the facing the worst of the demons:
His sisters of mockery, and peers of hatred,
And how does one grow up nice,
When everyone ignored him,
And when they don't, they hurt him?
"I'm not gay!" He screamed in futility.
He could never even get his hands on a Charizard.
It's enough to make a boy cry, and play more video games.
How weird it is, when one's heroes are a blue hedgehog,
A rat ninja, a green dinosaur, and 151 assorted pocket monsters.
But don't pity him, he'd find his comfort,
In the form, named Tiffani, the first crush.
Look at her, her life is a shitty mess,
She uses funny words to describe herself,
Like "manic depressive" and she "cut" herself.
Ripley's believe it or not, Fabi was not familiar with these.
8th grade and Fabi would find his niche as a freak.
He did some self-mutilation of his own,
Pierced his left ear (that's important) and dyed his hair blonde.
Alas, this newfound comfort was tossed away,
Welcome to high school, now it matters, they say.
Alone again, he'd spend his lunches in thought,
Or watching the news with the math teacher, go Silvers.
Then, there was Zack, then Sara, then Joe, then Dan,
Then Robin, then Rocco, then Kat, what's this? Friends!
With friends comes drama and Bree. The bitch...
All-in-all, he'd end up with a posse.
He revived and old interest, Magic: the Gathering.
Finally, he'd be the self-proclaimed king, the Nerd King.
Still secluded, Fabi celebrated the day he got his car,
Woe is him, new drama, in the form of the female, once again.
Go figure, nerds in this day can lose their virginity.
Sometimes, it's more trouble than it's worth, and tears are shed.
Dragged to Logan's party against his will,
Little did he know, he'd have a most cherished memory:
Fabi met a timid creature, named Tammi,
She turned down Magic: the Gathering
Not enjoying the party, he leaned on a tree,
Entranced in his iPod, she tried conversation.
Later that night, she'd fall asleep with her glasses on,
He removed them and watched her sleep.
Tam's man distrusted her and Fabi became a knight in shining.
Jump ahead, there's high school graduation, walking out with a 4.35,
He's truly a nerd of the greatest variety, that's on a 4.0 scale.
Denied by UF, accepted by UIC, FSU, but FSU's instate, life's better.
He cried at graduation, he did, he knew he'd have to start anew, again.
The first year was a little bumpy, he was away from his love,
Broke his arm, and was out on his own for once.
But he had friends, Mark and Joe.
Also, enemies, Zach and Katie, it happens.
Life's drama is no reason to feel bad for yourself.
Nowadays, it's said you can find him still an undergrad in Florida State.
Still struggling with sheer distance from the apple of his eye,
Who knows where this tale will end, hopefully not soon.
