There's a river now. And the trees
Bend across it like bridges with
Cracking bark and wet wood.
When we were here last there was
Ground. This is flowing brown
With waves and currents and
Crocodiles. Snap! But it was only
A stone hitting the water, a dark log.
The fields are green, the forests
Were never thicker. And we
Could be swimming home on our backs.
It's easy man,
Now that there's a river.
