Chapter One
Prologue
Some say that we choose our own destinies; others say that they choose us. That’s the case with us, as we didn’t choose to be different, we just are.
Long ago, there was an ancient civilization called the Prians. The Kanha, the six elements, guarded them. The Kanha, although pure magical energy, tended to take on human forms, each form specialized in one element. Their human forms were called the Kanhi.
Because of them, the world was forever peaceful, war hardly existed, and if one did start, it was stopped within days. Then one day, it all suddenly changed. You could say that fate chose us again.
Danos, a spirit, appeared. The Kanhi tried to befriend Danos but every attempt failed, but they carried on trying. Danos used this against them.
He decided to befriend that Dark Priestess, the Guardian of the Dark Kanha, which worked. His ultimate goal though was to get the Dark Priestess to destroy the others, which she refused to do.
She gave Danos no other choice. On his own, without a physical body, he had no powers, there was nothing he could do, except for one thing.
One night when the Dark Priestess visited, he put his plan into action. But the only problem he had was the others had realized what he was planning to do. His plan had to work and he had to do it soon or he would be forever banished to the Spirit realm.
Danos could tell that the dark priestess was wary of him; he knew that it would be all over with one attack from her. But he was waiting for her to lower her guard.
Then the opportunity came, and Danos proceeded with his plan. He attacked her, and managed to take over her body, and took complete control. Now that Danos had a body, and all the powers of the Dark Priestess, along with the powers he had lost as a spirit.
Not long after that Danos attacked the other Priestesses. At first they didn’t want to fight their friend, but they soon realized that they would have no choice, unless they wanted their world to be destroyed, which almost happened, but the worst thing was 4 of the remaining 5 Priestesses were killed. The Light Priestess decided that she had had enough of the fighting, and decided to end it.
She called upon her sacred Spirit, Sosio. Sosio sealed Danos away inside of a crystal and banished him away to the center of the earth. In doing so, she gave her own life to make sure that the seal on the crystal was never broken. Because of their sacrifice the people of Earth could begin to rebuild their lives.
But things wear out over time.
After a few thousand years Danos had managed to break the seal, freeing himself.
