Prologue

When you’re a teenager, you realize that you’re changing in all sorts of ways. The way you think differs from everyone else. What you find is important differs from everyone else. Not only are you changing, but so is the world around you and you can’t stop it.

That’s what this story is about. Not too long ago, a few teenagers realize they’re world is changing as are they with it. Not in the way you and I do as humans. No. Far from that. They are changing into Inhumans along with half of Earth. It all started when these teenagers noticed a pink orb in the sky. At first, they thought nothing of it. Then, a mysterious boy named Ronnie entered their lives and gave them each a strange book. Things got even more confusing when the teenagers each began seeing strange things in their dreams and growing things on their body that they shouldn’t have. What choice remained after that but to go with Ronnie to find out what was going on?

Shanei was just a regular fourteen-year-old human girl, so she thought. Her eyes are true green. Her hair was long and golden blonde at the top that strangely turned brown towards the middle of her back. She was very popular in school. She got good grades. Was very smart and precise in her speech and loved researching. Though she can seem very distant, and when she’s not she’s kind and curious. Then she saw Ronnie in the library and found out she was once a thing called an Esentence, an Inhuman spell caster who uses songs and prayer to cast their spells. Not only that, but in the past, her name was Shiane and she and Ronnie were deeply in love.

Heather also thought she was only a fourteen year old human girl. Her eyes are cerulean blue and her hair is pink and frizzy. She, unlike Shanei, was not very popular in school because she always only wanted to talk about nature with everyone. People called her annoying. However, she does tend to get her point across and she tends to let paranoia get the best of her. She clings to Shanei like a tick. When she sprouted a pair of large blue wings on her back, Shanei told her about Ronnie, a boy she had met. When she met Ronnie herself, she found out she was actually a Healer, a type of Inhuman fairy with the power to heal plants, animals, and people. She also found out that in the past, her name was Humaraku.

Katherine was a fifteen-year-old tomboy, friends with Shanei and Heather. Her skin is dark, not yet tan, and her eyes and hair are brown. Katherine is a girl with attitude and spunk. Her energy and thrill seeking ambition are endless. Her cocky attitude and over confidence make her a very social and likable person. She’s athletic and loves animals. The day she met Ronnie, she had grown a bright orange foxtail. Her human ears had disappeared and she had grown a pair of bright orange, black tipped fox ears atop her head. She later found out she was an Elk, a type of Inhuman fairy that was half animal and had the powers over land. In the past, her name was Kentanori.

At the time, Rollen was a sixteen-year-old slacker. He had brown skin and heavy brown eyes. His hair was black even though he tended to wear a hat. He was known in school, but not what he would consider popular. He never really even thought about it. He was never one for striding for excellence nor did he like partaking in any extra curricular activities. Heck, he wasn’t even really good at anything except throwing heavy hits and sleeping on cue. Rollen also had a bit of a short fuse though he preferred to keep cool and remain laid back and easy going. He didn’t like getting messy either. The day he met Ronnie, Ronnie had been following him. He gave him a book and vanished without a trace. The following day, Rollen’s face and eyes were completely blue. Rollen later found out he was something called a Shifter, an Inhuman archer and hunter that could transform into animals. In the past, his name was Roshi.

Not quite near being a teenager was eight-year-old Eric. His skin is very pale and his hair was snow white with true green eyes. He was a very quiet and mysterious boy who even intimidated his human parents. Even before the planet started to change, he had powerful psychic abilities that his human parents praised him for. He was home schooled; even so, he was never very social. The day he met Ronnie, he had began seeing images of blonde-brown haired woman with true greens eyes and a bright smile. His eyes had even changed to pure white. He later found out that he was another type of Inhuman fairy called a Gifted. They have one particular power. In the past, his name was Eshay, the son of Ronnie and Shiane.

Tavern was a vein, pompous, eighteen year old rich girl living in France when everything started. She was tall and beautiful with short chestnut brown hair and dark green eyes. As I said before, she was vein. She was a model and popular for that though she was never truly like by anyone. People found her arrogant and obnoxious. Especially since she had a tendency to believe she could have anything she wanted. People also found her accent to be annoying. She emphasized her words a little more then what anyone would have truly liked. When she met Ronnie, she was hitting on him in a café. Once he turned her down, she stole his book. The following day, she realized she was shrinking. As if that wasn’t bad enough, she found out her friends had been plotting against her for about forever. Tavern was soon told she was turning into another breed of Inhuman fairy: A Regular fairy. A fairy with two sets of wings, four inches in height, and powers that are unknown to the world. In the past, her name was Totski.

April was living a happy life as a Spanish seventeen year old. Her red hair went to her shoulders and her eyes were a faded shade of blue. She was a very, very happy girl. She was very popular and loved to give advice to everyone, especially when it came to matters concerning love even though she had never been in love herself. April is a bit on the slow side, however but not when it comes to human emotions. She’s also very clumsy, but an excellent swimmer. Her bubbliness tends to make everyone around her smile. On the day she met Ronnie, she practically chased him off. She did manage to get the book from him. When she read it though, she said two particular words that resulted in her growing a fin and be driven into a panic. April relaxed when she found out she was a Mermaid, the type of Inhuman who can live on both land and in the sea with the powers of water and land. In the past, her name was Asheda.

Now we come to the elusive and mysterious Ronnie with a complex personality. His hair is long and goes to the nape of his neck. His eyes were such an incredibly dark brown that they look black. At times, he prefers to say nothing or very little. Others, he seems to be very much in the mood for socializing and joking around. He can be irritated quite easily but he never seems to take anything to offense. When he looks at one particular character, Shanei, he can only think about someone he loved to the point he couldn’t imagine living life without them. He saw Shiane. But upon meeting the girl Shanei, and seeing she hadn’t the slightest recollection of him, he felt his heart break though he wouldn’t show it. In his heart, he hoped she’d fall in love with him again and remember the life they spent together so long ago.

Would you believe that Ronnie is over seven hundred years old? No, you wouldn’t. He looks seventeen, but there’s a huge difference there. He’s not even an Inhuman. He’s a regular human like you and I. You are a human, right? Ronnie’s on a mission to find the other thirteen Chosen Inhumans before the mysterious pink orb in the sky, the Inhuman planet, collides with Earth destroying them both. If he can do what he’s been living seven hundred years to do, then he’ll save millions of humans and Inhumans. But that’s not going to be a very easy task. Especially since he’s only gathered seven of his friends from the past and must find and gain the trust of the remaining six. What better way to start than with the boy named Chris.
