The Parking Lot
-
Swaying, I stood, dizzy,
Saw her mouth in a pout.
She’d asked could she kiss me
And my world flipped about
Before my heart took flight.
-
My pulse throbbed in my veins
As we slowly advanced.
The thund’ring fall of rain
Brought deafening silence
To the darkness of night.
-
Ears lost sound, eyes their sight.
My hands fell to her hips.
I touched those rosy lips.
The world burst into light
As I held to her tight.
