A Game

‘Tis not a fair game,

not at all

the loser may never win.

Many have tried

all have died

dirt, decaying their skin.

One wrong move

you can never go back

and that is all of the matter.

In a game

that cast no blame

climbing a downwards ladder.

Pretty euphemism

attempts to make it look fair

and all have been naïve.

Yet nothing can hide,

the horror inside

and it continues to deceive.

Once you start

you can never stop

until you reach the very end.

Yes, many have tried

but all have died.

The game is called life, my friend.
