In a shadow forgotten and lost,

Stareing at the words you never wrote,

And hearing promises you never spoke,

Blood shot eyes glance into the light,

Wincing because it's way too bright,

Heartless and empty I gaze back,

At the memories of me and you,

And wonder where it all went wrong,

What things should have been said,

Lost in all the tears I shed,

Something brushes my shoulder,

Could sware they're arms wrapping around,

Avoice murmers "It'll all be okay",

To let it go and to believe,

I can't help but lean in and hold on,

The warmth and the light healing,

Telling me they'll always be there for me,

And I rest my head and smile again.
