A while ago, I wrote a (very) short story with this, and someone suggested to turn it into a prose poem, and so I did.

When I Was Invisible

All I wanted in that lonely crowd
Was someone to talk to…
To listen to…
Maybe even be friends with…

But I had gotten quite used to being alone.

So you can imagine how…
…Surprising
It was when you came up to me…

…but I’m glad you did.

Because otherwise…
…I would have never known
The feeling of love given
And love received
Or its effect.

And I never would have known you.

And you know how you make me feel?
You make me feel…
Happy.
And nervous.
Excited.

You make me feel like I’m alive again.

I should have never gotten the chance to feel this way after the hospital…

…but thank you for giving it to me.

I’ll see you soon.

I changed a couple little things, but it's more or less the same. So, what'd you think?
