My words; your words;
Mingle faintly as echoes in the air.
The voice that is so far away—
Remembered only by the warmth of tears
And the sky of black ocean,
Lined by the silver moon…

My tears; your tears;
Unspoken words that meant nothing to me then
As you held me warm in your arms
Silent promises of emotions uncurbed,
Yet you left me, for that kingdom far away.

The depth of blackness
Of dark ocean;
My song; Your song…
Mingles strangely with choruses of your own…
As our fingers parted, and you sank
And all but life in your eyes are gone
Swiftly vanishing in darkness beyond—
You pushed me away, I break through the surface;

The sea; the sea;
Strangely empty inside; I stand alone by the shore
I remember times that long had passed
The sky once blue and white with clouds
The sun so fair—and the sky tinted gray
With golden eyes looking into mine—
The bit of silver that was there, part of you
The rocking of the ocean, how you held my hands
As you dived in the blue, I broke the surface…

My sadness; your sadness;
Pain divine—empty as black as soul inside
Ocean, from where you came and always belonged
For part the two from different worlds,
Even for a bit we shared our lives

Our song; our song;
Words that I sang, music that was yours.
